Fate Version 0.1


Fate Devlog: Version 0.1 

 

This devlog will go over everything added/created for Fate Version 0.1, this includes the following: 

 

Intro scene with the studio name and game name. 

Character creator (only classes at the moment, no actual customization.) 

Orbit/Mission Selection. 

Character movement. 

 

Intro Scene 

For the intro scene I made a simple scene that first shows the studio name, which is still a placeholder at this moment then it goes to a scene showing the main game name this will then stay on the screen until the player presses the enter key. 

 

 

 

Character Creation 

For the character creator the player can decide which class they would like to play, as of right now only the hunter (placeholder name) class works, you can see how this works below: 

 

Mission Select: 

I have made a mission selector which should now be fully modular meaning I can just update the variables on each mission node to change what displays on the main mission selector, this makes it a lot easier for me to make more missions as I just have to change variables instead of changing scripts: 

 

Character Movement 

Character movement was the last thing made for this version, the character movement is very basic as of right now just having directional movement, a jump and a double jump this is so I can move around for testing things made in later versions of the game, please see below for the movement: 

 

 

Going forward: 

For version 0.2 I want to have abilities and weapons done for the first class, this will include a grenade a melee and an ultimate all of which should be able to charge and not be activated before the charge is full. On top of this I want to try and have at least basic weapons introduced by the time version 0.2 is done.
